About MassBay Scholarships

Every semester, thanks to the generosity of our donors, the MassBay Foundation awards thousands of dollars in scholarships to help students achieve their academic goals. Students are strongly encouraged to apply every semester you are enrolled at MassBay.

Summer 2025 Scholarships

Timeline

The application for summer scholarships is open now through April 25, 2025. You must be registered for summer classes by April 24th to access the application and apply in time. 

Applying This Fall?

MassBay is implementing a new scholarship system powered by AwardSpring. For current or returning MassBay students, this means you must complete a new Scholarship Application. None of the data from the old scholarship system can be imported into the new system. This is a wonderful opportunity to make sure your short answer and essay responses are up to date and reflect the student you are today.

If you would like a copy of the short answer and essay responses you included in your fall 2024 or spring 2025 scholarship application, please email your request to the Development Office at foundation@massbay.edu. Include your full name and student ID. We can provide this information until the fall scholarship application closes. Please allow 24-48 hours for a response.

How To Apply
  1. You must be registered for classes to begin the application process.
  2. Students may apply for scholarships through AwardSpring by searching for the app in OneLogin — MassBay single sign on.
  3. Once you are in AwardSpring, complete your Application.
  4. After you have completed your Application, you will automatically be considered for all available scholarships based on the information you provide in your Application and the data we have in the enrollment system.
  5. If you are prompted to “Follow up” for a specific scholarship it means we need additional information to determine your eligibility. If you do not see any scholarship applications asking for “follow up”, it does not mean you won’t be considered for a scholarship. It just means that we do not need any additional data from you other than what you have already provided in the Application and what we have in the enrollment system.
Scholarship Disbursements

Scholarship money is disbursed to students as reimbursement, after the final add/drop date of the semester. Students are responsible for making payment arrangements on their account before scholarships are disbursed.
