Interior Design Program

In our Interior Design Certificate, you will study interior space planning, the coordination and application of currently manufactured products, knowledge of building codes and materials of design, use of color, history of furnishings, the decorative arts, and preparation and delivery of creative graphic and oral residential and commercial presentations.

Internship Information

Interior Design students intern in almost every sector of the interior design field, gaining real life experience using the skills gained from your classes. Students intern directly with interior designers, as well as within many of the retail design showrooms in the Greater Boston area. Furniture showrooms, flooring showrooms, tile showrooms, and builders have enlisted our design students to assist them in every facet of their work, from using AutoCad to drafting plans by hand to helping with the huge selection process that goes into every home or business.

Career and Transfer Outlook

With a Certificate in Interior Design, you'll have a great start finding work with interior design firms, design build companies, retail stores, staging companies, and kitchen and bath showrooms, or open your own design firm.

If you are interested in continuing your education beyond the Interior Design Certificate, you can meet with an advisor to discuss an associate degree in a Business program and opportunities for MassTransfer with select public institutions in Massachusetts in addition to transferring to private colleges and universities.
