The Office of the Registrar will be closed Monday, December 23rd – Friday, December 27th, and on Wednesday, January 1st. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The Office of the Registrar maintains student academic records and ensures that student rights are protected under the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). The Office of the Registrar provides many services to the general public, students, alumni, faculty and staff. These services include, but are not limited to registration, course schedule adjustment, withdrawals, transcript requests, enrollment/graduation verifications, graduation application review, grade processing, change of majors, biographical detail updates, and scheduling of courses. The course schedule is produced through this office as well as the final exam schedule and the academic calendar.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’m looking to enroll in courses at MassBay and not pursue a degree. What do I need to do?

You may complete either our Non-Degree Interactive Registration Form or our Non-Degree Print/Download Registration Form. Completed print and download registration forms may be submitted to our office email address at registrar@massbay.edu. Please be aware that non-degree students are not MassReconnect/MassEducate/Financial Aid elgible.

I’m unable to receive my MassBay advisor signature or professors permission on my registration form, what should I do?

If you are unable to receive your advisor’s signature or professors permission, you may forward to our office an email from your advisor/professor MassBay email address that states you have permission to enroll in the course(s) indicated on your registration form and we will accept their email in lieu of their signature. Our office email address is registrar@massbay.edu.

The course I’m interested in requires proof of a pre/co-requisite. What do I need to do?

If you’re a non-degree seeking student and the course(s) you’re looking to enroll in require proof of completion of a pre/co-requisite(s), please complete and submit a Non-Degree Registration Form. On this form you may self-certify that you have completed the required requisite(s) to enroll within the Self-Certification of Pre-Requisite area. Please make sure when comeplting this portion that you inlcude all details of the pre/co-requsite(s).

If you’re a degree seeking student and you have not submitted your official transcript to MassBay, you may submit your registration form along with a copy of your unofficial transcript to our office (registrar@massbay.edu). Your unofficial transcript must state your name and the name of the school. Once received, we will forward your documents to the Advising Office for review and once complete you will receive communication from a representative within a 2-3 business days.

I just completed an interactive form, are there further steps I need to take?

After you complete an interactive form, an email is sent to the email address that was indicated on your form. Within this email, you must confirm your signature. Once your signatire has been confirmed, your request is directed to our office (registrar@massbay.edu). If this is your first time at MassBay you'll receive an email with log-in credentials from the MassBay IT Help Desk (helpdesk@massbay.edu) once your form has been processed by our staff. These credentials will log you into your MassBay email address and Bay Navigator account. Official enrollment confirmation will be sent to your MassBay email address.

How do I request an official or unofficial transcript?

Official/unofficial transcripts may be requested by:

  1. Bay Navigator account (via Parchment Electronic Transcript Request): To make this request, click on Academic Records and Grades tile and choose Official Transcript Request from the option list. Official transcripts can be requested through Parchment and will be emailed or mailed to the address indicated for a fee of $3.50. This includes immediate tracking of the status of your request. You can also access the Parchment login page Parchment Electronic Transcript Request Service →.
    And, you may request/print unofficial transcripts via your Bay Navigator account.
  2. Transcript Request Form: You may complete either our interactive transcript request form or our print and download transcript request form to have your transcript mailed throught the postal mail. The print and download transcript request form may be submitted to our office email address at registrar@massbay.edu. There is no cost to the student using this method to request your official transcript.

I requested an official transcript to be mailed. How long will it take to process my request?

Official transcripts will be processed and mailed through the postal mail within 2-3 business days. Once a transcript has been mailed, we are unable to provide an update on the status of the request. For immediate processing, we recommend you request your official transcript through the MassBay portal on Parchment Electronic Transcript Request Service →.

Where can I find any changes to the Academic Calendar?

Academic Calendars for each semester may be found on the Academic Calendar page.

How do I get my Bay Navigator username and initial password?

  1. Navigate to IT Help Desk Password Reset/OneLogin Instructions

Where can I view my midterm and final grades?

  1. Access your Bay Navigator account.
  2. Click on Academic Records and Grades tile and choose View my Grades from list

To view grades for another term, click on the Change Term button, choose the term and click Continue.
