Early Childhood Education: Infant-Toddler Teacher (Certificate)

This 18-credit Certificate provides the core early childhood courses to become EEC Lead Teacher qualified to work with infants and toddlers (0-2.9 years). If you already have a degree in another subject or want to begin with courses for certification and consider a degree later, this might be a good fit for you. The program includes one practicum to provide some of the supervised experience required for EEC certification. If you work in an early education and care program, you may be able to use your workplace as a practicum site.

Career and Transfer outlook

After their first course (Child Development), our students are sought by child care centers to work as teachers. Upon completion of the Certificate, you will find open Lead Teacher positions across the state.  Many graduates will continue in the AS Degree in Early Childhood Education while working.
