Studying the Humanities and Social Sciences builds critical thinking and communication skills that are highly valued by employers. Studies show that employers are looking for candidates who can think critically and creatively, analyze problems and research solutions, and who have strong oral and written communication skills. In fact, in a national survey of employers, 93% said these skills were more important than a candidate’s major. MassBay’s Humanities and Social Sciences Academy offers five associate degree programs that will help you build these skills and prepare you for immediate employment in a wide variety of fields, or for seamless transfer to the four-year college of your choice.
