Shamsi Moussavi, professor of Computer Science, has been teaching at MassBay Community College for 14 years. Shamsi is the PI for NSF ATE grants iCREAT and iTEST and she has been collaborating in other NSF grants (Transform, BATEC). Shamsi represents MassBay at the state level articulation agreements for Computer Science and collaborates in outreach events. In addition to teaching Computer Science courses, she has developed new Cybersecurity program curricula and teaches security courses. She presents Cybersecurity education research topics and workshops at conferences. Shamsi worked as principal Software Engineer in industry for a decade before joining academia. She received her M.S. in Computer Science from Brown University and sits on the advisory board for Computer Science department at Rhode Island College, where she earned her B.A. in Computer Science.
