Tuition Payment Plan

MassBay has partnered with Nelnet Campus Commerce on a Tuition Payment Plan to help you pay your bill in smaller installments. The Tuition Payment Plan is not a loan program. You have no debt, there are no interest or finance charges assessed, and there is no credit check. However, there is a small non-refundable enrollment fee of $32 per semester to help administer the plan.

You may budget your tuition and fees in the following ways:

  1. Automatic Bank Payment (ACH) — ACH payments are those payments you have authorized FACTS to process directly with your financial institution. It is simply a bank-to-bank transfer of funds that you have preapproved for your expenses at MassBay Community College. Payments may be made from either your checking or savings account. Payments are processed on the 5th of each month and will continue until the balance is paid in full.

  2. Credit Card Option — Your monthly payment will be automatically charged to the credit card you designate. Payments will be charged on the 5th of each month until the balance is paid in full. Credit card payments are assessed a 2.85% service fee.

Before you enroll, gather the following information:

  • Your Student User ID and Password for Bay Navigator. Need help? Check out Bay Navigator for Student Accounts for more information.

  • The name, address, and e-mail address of the person responsible for making the payments.

  • Your unique Nelnet Campus Commerce Access Code. If applying for the first time, you will be prompted to create your code. Please be sure it is something you can easily remember.

  • Account information for the person responsible for payment.

  • If paying by automatic bank payments, you will need the bank name, telephone number, account number, and the bank routing number. Most of this information is located on your check.

  • If paying by credit card, you will need the credit card number and expiration date.

How to Enroll

Signing up for the plan is easy, but you must be a student registered for classes to enroll.

  1. Log into Bay Navigator Self Service using your Student Username and password

  2. Select the Student Finances & Aid tile, then Make a Payment. This will take you to the secure Nelnet website where you will be able to make your payment or set up a payment plan.
