PRESENTING OUR PANELISTS:
Dr. Nicole Johnson
Patent Agent/Intellectual Property Liaison Intellia Therapeutics
Nicole obtained her B.S. in Computer Science and PhD in Computational Biology. She worked as a bioinformatician for over 10 years supporting data analysis efforts for scientific groups across various industries, including a non-profit pharmaceuticals, clinical diagnostics, and a national lab. As a people and project manager, Dr. Johnson gained experience managing teams and projects supporting company-wide initiatives that has required working with employees in all departments and seniority levels.
Frank Manu
Systems Engineer Carrier Corporation
Frank obtained his B.S. in Electrical Engineering and M.S. in Computer Engineering. In his role, his daily job involves end-to-end architecture and design of fire safety systems under the Kidde brand. Frank is passionate about communication systems and his work mostly focuses on internet communications for fire safety products. Frank enjoys listening to audiobooks while driving and in his spare time he plays video games. Frank serves as the Collegiate Chair of the National Society of Black Engineers Boston Professionals.
Lendsey Thicklin
Associate Scientist, CBT Protein Sciences Group, Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Researc
Lendsey obtained her B.S. in Cell Molecular Developmental Biology and M.S. in Chemistry. Within Protein Sciences, Lendsey supports various early stage drug discovery projects in different disease areas using her biophysics and protein biochemistry experience. Previously she worked for Sanofi in their Rare Blood Disorders area in the protein therapeutics group. Beyond the lab bench, Lendsey enjoys volunteering with her sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, INC, leading her high school girl group Delta GEMS, and scrolling through Instagram’s explore page.
