WELLESLEY HILLS, Mass. (June 25, 2024) — MassBay Community College is pleased to announce that Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey has appointed Gary Prado to the MassBay Community College Board of Trustees.

Prado is Senior Legal Counsel at Fidelity Investments. Prior to his role at Fidelity Investments, Prado was an associate at Ropes & Gray, practicing in its private equity transactions group, representing private equity firms and public and private companies in leveraged buyouts, direct investments, and other strategic transactions. Prado also clerked for Chief Justice Paul A. Suttell of the Supreme Court of Rhode Island and Judge Joseph A. Greenway, Jr. of the Third Circuit Court of Federal Appeals.
In addition to his extensive professional experience, Prado is an active supporter of many Boston-area civic and charitable organizations that provide opportunities for underprivileged children. He sits on Boards of The Conservatory Lab Charter School, The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. Prado earned his BS and MBA from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and his JD from Suffolk University Law School. Prado is a resident of Dedham, MA.

Prado was sworn in on May 1, 2024, and his first Board of Trustee meeting was May 21, 2024. He will serve a term of five years on the MassBay Board of Trustees.
