WELLESLEY HILLS, Mass. (March 25, 2022) — The Wellesley Rotary Club recently presented MassBay Community College President David Podell with a check for $8,000 to assist the College’s food insecurity initiatives. This donation was the result of a very successful fundraiser the Wellesley Rotary Club held in the fall 2021 called “Dinner on Us!”, which benefitted food insecurity programs at MassBay, the Village Table, and Veterans at the New England Center for Veterans.
“We are extremely grateful for the Wellesley Rotary Club's continued support for our students facing food insecurity issues,” said MassBay President David Podell. “The money raised will provide many students with access to food through the Student Hunger Assistance Fund, which will make it easier for them to continue with their studies and focus on earning their degree.”
